Hallmark Appoints Healthcare Leader and Patient Experience Innovator Patrick T. Ryan as Board Chairman

Chairman and CEO of Press Ganey, Ryan brings 35 years of industry leadership experience improving safety, quality, and patient experience

HAUPPAUGE, NEW YORK (February 12, 2024) Hallmark Health Care Solutions, a healthcare workforce management technology company, today announced the appointment of Patrick T. Ryan as non-executive Chairman of its Board of Directors. Ryan brings more than 35 years of experience as an entrepreneur, leader, and CEO of numerous healthcare service organizations. Ryan was recognized by Modern Healthcare as one of the industry’s 100 Most Influential People in Healthcare of 2023.

With a passion for advancing patient-centered care across the healthcare ecosystem, Ryan has dedicated his career to supporting provider organizations to improve the quality and safety of care while lowering costs. As Chairman and CEO of Press Ganey since 2012, Ryan has led a dramatic transformation of the organization into an innovator and industry leader in patient, member, employee, and consumer experience across the continuum of care.

“Advancing and transforming safety, quality, and patient experience are essential aims for our industry, and require deep and meaningful engagement with clinical teams,” said Ryan. “It is an honor to join Hallmark supporting their mission to address the challenges and opportunities in healthcare workforce management through innovative, technology-driven solutions.”

Prior to Press Ganey, Ryan served as CEO of several leading healthcare service companies, including The Broadlane Group, PolyMedica Corporation, and Physicians Dialysis. Additionally, Ryan has served as a board member for the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Lahey Health, Atrius Health, Hill-Rom, Sound Physicians, American Renal Associates, Affiliated Managers Group, Inc., and Compassus. Ryan also served as a member of the Massachusetts Hospital Association’s Committee on Governance and the Nashville Healthcare Council.

“Pat brings an unparalleled passion and experience collaborating with healthcare systems and providers to improve patient, clinical, and financial outcomes,” said Bruce Cerullo, CEO of Hallmark. “As a colleague and a friend for many years, Pat brings our organization a vision for healthcare transformation that will be an invaluable guide and compass for our work. We’re excited to work with him as we continue to deliver on our mission to help healthcare organizations transform their workforce management solutions.”

Ryan’s appointment to Hallmark’s Board of Directors as a non-executive Chairman coincides with the company’s next phase of growth following the appointment of Bruce Cerullo as the company’s new CEO and a recent investment from Summit Partners. As the industry’s only vendor-neutral enterprise solution used by hundreds of healthcare organizations and more than 750 staffing agency partners across the country, Hallmark is well-positioned to meet the evolving needs of the healthcare labor ecosystem with a suite of industry-leading solutions designed to bring transparency, efficiency, and savings to the healthcare industry.
